BasicSeek virus is an adware infection which is used to promote a bogus search engine BasicSeek.com. The malware hijacks browsers like Firefox, Chrome and Internet explorer, it modifies their settings and then user on infected PC gets redirected to BasicSeek search while using Google. If unfortunately your system has been invaded by this infection, you would be noticing such redirections. Actually BasicSeek redirect virus changes default search provider (which is Google) and home page without your permission and consent.
